I’m playing with settings on here so only people i choose can view it, but i can’t figure it out totally yet.

Nothing really happening around here, life is much the same day to day. We eat, we play, we sleep.

Another long weekend for us with labour day on Monday so thats cool, going to work on the vegie patch again and hopefully get around to sanding the walls i spac filled weeks ago. Have to go to the shops at some stage because the kids are running out of nappies.

I’m trying to get H to give up his dummy and start toilet training again, both arn’t working very well at all. Its getting colder here which is going to make it harder but i can only try.

Bit of a break

Well its been a bit. I’ve been enjoying a bit of a break from the internet. I didn’t take the laptop to dads and when i get back i haven’t felt like spending ages trolling all the sites. I’m sure when A goes back to work on tuesday i’ll get back into it.

Had a good time at dads, caught up with people and all the rest. A is on a 4 day weekend with the public holiday so thats been lovely. Friday we just hung out and did not a lot. Sat we did the groceries in the morning, i needed more high fibre stuff. Yesterday afternoon we did some stuff out in the garden, pulled out some plants and chopped some things, looks much tidier. We have to get back into the vegie patch again now the weather isn’t as hot, we arn’t growing anywhere near as much this time, just the stuff we like and what grew really.
Last night we made spaghetti marinara, oh it was so good. We bought fresh prawns, scallops, calamari and a bit of snapper and just used a bottled red wine sauce and wholemeal pasta for the fibre bit of course and it was awesome. We are having it as leftovers tonight for dinner.

This morning i woke up and did the kids, discovered H had done a HUGE poop and it got everywhere so i then had to scrub the rug with carpet cleaner stuff. Later we discovered he must have scratched his back at some stage, discovered poop on his finger and he then wiped it on my closed laptop…can we all say gross!!!!!

Anyways then we had some people come around wanting to do garden work for a youth charity thing so we got some trees cut down that we wanted gone. Then we went for a drive to Wivenhoe dam, Brisbanes biggest water catchment. I took some pics if i get a chance to upload i will later. Then Mims and i came home cos i needed to pee and she needed a feed and A and H went to the park where they still are now. Its so peaceful hehe.

Tonight i want to watch a movie but i think A wants to watch the dance final thing so we’ll prob end up doing that.

Tomorrow, A has some things on and i have to clean the house. I have made Monday the clean the house day for me, its been working okay so far. I did do 5 loads of washing on Sat and our pain in the arse dog Tilly pulled my jeans down and put a whole in them. She ruined a quilt mum bought me not that long ago, makes me so mad, so now whenever washing is out, she will be tied up all day, i’m fed up!!

And thats about it.

The kids: I love H’s hair cut now, looks very handsome. He is learning to count to 10, he can do it but often needs prompting. He speaks much more clearly now and is really just a boy.

Mimi is laying talking to her toys, she is still almost rolling, doesn’t quite get the end part going and go the whole way. Her hair is getting a bit longer but she is still a baldy. She is very strong, and is drooling like nothing else so am wondering whether teeth are far away but H didn’t get his first till he was 9 months old and he drooled so who knows. She sleeps mostly okay, wakes a few times having got herself unwrapped and sucking on her hand, so we just re dummy and off to sleep she goes again.

So not a very eventful week really. Milla had her needles and was fine, had a small temp the next day but she just spits majority if the panadol back out so not much i could do really for it, she wasn’t grizzly though so thats a good thing.

I’ve been back to the doctor and we are trialing a high fibre diet and i have to keep a food diary to see if anything sparks the flare ups and i am taking mintec a peppermint thing thats supposed to help. It seems to be going okay, i can’t pinpoint any foods that are causing it yet but i have noticed i seem to get the pain in the afternoon and not really in the mornings so who knows….? I go back in 2 weeks to talk more then. This was a different doctor and although my original one was nice i don’t think she was very helpful in talking things through with me whereas this lady is great so far.

Today H had his swim lesson and then we went to get his first ever hair cut. I was quite sad about it really but it will grow back. (Photos are in the sidebar in flickr) but he was great. We bought him some frog lollies for after the haircut and he sat on my lap and was fine. He looks so different to me though, still cute as a button but different somehow

Afterwards we went for a coffee and he had a babycino, ah it was adorable watching him drink it hehe.

We did some shopping and grabbed some lunch at the shops afterwards and i got the new Johnathan Kellerman book, so i will hopefully spend part of tomorrow reading that. I’m in a reading phase at the moment. I haven’t felt much like reading the last few months but now i do…

Tomorrow M and i are off to a friends baby shower, a few of our friends will be at it so that will be cool to see them again.

Monday i think the kids and i might go down to dads. My cat Wilson died last night, dad was quite attached to him so was a bit upset, so i’m going to buy him another canary this week while we are down. He had one before and loved it and he needs company and H will love it as well so there is an added bonus…

Tonight once the kids are in bed A and i are going to watch a movie we downloaded and i bought some icecream today (of course for testing purposes lol i need to see whether the icecream causes my belly to me more painful)

We are having burritos for dinner cos 1. they are yum and 2. they are a good fibre source if i put kidney beans in the mix.

And that’s about it.

We put Milla in the cot on Saturday night, she is to big now really for the basinette and with the constant dummying we were doing we thought it might help. So far it is. Sat night she slept all night long till 7am no noise, Sun night she slept all night but woke once at 3ish for dummy but that was it and same again last night, both times she woke me i was desperate for a pee anyways so i can deal with that we have also upped her 7pm feed which is her last feed of the night to 250ml and that seems to help as well.

Of course today she is going for her 4 month needles so the poor little mite will probably be unsettled, god i hate the needles it was so good when H was past the age of having to have them regularly.

I made a yummy shepherds pie with mushy peas last night, it was so good, tonight we are having quiche and salad.

All of m’s 00 clothes are now washed i just have to get the motivation to put them away, this could take a while hehe.

Busy couple of days

Have been pretty busy today.

We moved the cot out of H’s room into the office/mimi’s room and moved all the toys into H’s room. I went through all the bags of clothes people have given us for M and put them in sizes and bagged up the stuff thats still a ways off fitting and put the 00’s in to be washed. I did 5 loads of washing, A fixed up and moved the cables for the desktop computer and installed some wireless thing in the pc which then took 3 hours to get working.

I then got the putty out and puttied up the holes in the paint and walls that H has created so we can paint the bathroom and possibly the lounge for when we eventually sell later on in the year.

Then this afternoon we tided up the garage/junk space and then we made pizza for dinner. I bought a box of pizza dough mix but didn’t realise it was gluten free so it tastes a bit different but it was edible anyways, next time A said we’ll make our own.

Tilly has been a pain in the arse since we brought her back, she keeps pulling the washing off the line and putting holes in everything, i’m so pissed off at her, she is tied up now cos she pulled the quilt cover off the line and put a hole in another quilt cover.

When we were at dads my old dog had a worm prob so i have freaked out at the thought of the kids or us getting worms (i think i need therapy really lol) i disinfectanted the floors, i sprayed everything with disinfectant spray, i bought antibacterial gel and keep using that on my hands, i changed and washed all the sheets in really hot water and i worm treated us all and the dog. So fingers crossed nothing comes of it. The thing is you can’t worm M she is to little so we just have to watch her and if she shows signs take her to the doctor, which we are on Tuesday anyways for her 4 month vaccinations.

So anyways yeah i have irrational germ fears since i was in hospital after having M. I can’t stand the thought of either of the kids getting sick, it really upsets me. I’ll get over it, i hope!

And thats about it really, a bit of a jumble but you get the idea…

Kids stuff

Why is it, that H can be playing happily by himself but when i get up to put M to sleep he must be by our sides and he must make as much noise as he can?? Ugh its frustrating. M is seriously crappy at sleeping during the day lately, she used to self settle but now adays you have to hold her while she fights and cries and screams, fun times!

We put H to bed last night at 7pm because he didn’t have his afternoon nap, at 8:10pm he was still crying so i sat on the end of his bed and read my book and ignored him and he went off, we *think* he does this more when he doesn’t have a good sleep during the day, he just gets so overtired and won’t calm down. It seriously bites the big one though. I want some time with A at night without the kids and i crash early generally so it leaves only half an hour or so and we are usually doing dishes or bottles and things then, but we keep reminding ourselves how quickly all these stages pass and it won’t be long and they won’t be little anymore. M thankfully is sleeping okay at night although she is still doing the dummy thing in the early hours where we have to keep putting it back in…

M is growing so fast now, its unbelieveable that she will be 4 months in a few days, where did that time go? She has great head control and i don’t think it will be long before she starts rolling, she is making movements now and lifts her whole body up with her feet pushed down is a pretty happy baby, most of the time she is happy to lay under her play mat or in the bouncy or on the lounge and smile and chatter. She is having 4 bottles a day off 200ml, i just changed her teats and she is going much better on them, i think shortly she will go to 250ml. She just adores Harry, it is the cutest thing ever seeing how much she loves him and him her. WHenever he is near she smiles and stares and follows his movements. He is great with her and gives her kisses and says Boo Mimi.

H is 2.2mths now and we are amazed at this stage how quickly he picks things up and figures things out. He is such a darling when he isn’t being a tantruming pain in the ass

He likes to add rooney to the end of names cos A did it the other day so my brother is robbierooney, papa keefy rooney, mama rooney, dadarooney and so on.

He remembers people now a bit better like my sil’s son J who he adores. He is still quite shy with strangers but is getting much much better. My friend was around the other day who he normally would be shy with and he wasn’t he was chatting away, it was good. He is still going to swimming and i have to get into the playgroup up the road and stop putting it off.

Anyways just wanted to write some stuff down before i forget it all

Hmm okay wordpress must have done an update or something cos its all different. I hate when things change and i have to learn the new layouts.

Well the weekend just flew on by, it didn’t feel like a weekend in the slightest.

The kids are on and off with their sleeping, some nights are fine others a bit worse. H is more settled in going to bed at least so thats a start.

My belly pain is still lingering, i think i have irritable bowel syndrome actually, from everything i have read etc it sounds more than likely like that. M has her 4 month needles next week so i’ll make an appt then as well, but i can’t pinpoint what triggers the pain etc i have pretty much given up soft drinks and i’m trying to stop chocolate and cut back on the fatty foods to see if that shows an improvement…time will tell!

The weekend…well A had an all day interview thing for something he is doing so my normal day that i look forward to all week wasn’t so exciting. Just me and the kids, but they were both good and napped appropriately so can’t complain. When A got home at 3pm we packed the car and headed off to Dads for M’s christening.

Got down to dads and watched some tv and then went to bed early. Sunday morning service at the church for Mims. Was a nice service, she managed to spew on the really old christening gown so i have to now handwash that today but it was a nice service, she got some lovely gifts a bible from the church, a necklace with a cross from my bro and sil and a necklace with an M from my sis and bil and my dad gave her a silver mug. H was pretty well behaved for the service as well and even came up with me when we went up for communion hehe it was so cute. I’ll see if there are any nice pics to upload, prob won’t be many cos i’m in most of them and i hate pics of myself lol

Then we went back to Dads just my bro and sis and the partners etc, for lunch and there was a big old family drama with my sister and her partner so that ruined the day…gotta love family dramas. Anyways H loved playing with J my sil’s son who is 5 and we went and had a look at my brothers house up the hill, looks fantastic and then we drove home and got in about 7pm, had dinner and i went to bed at 8:30pm cos i was exhausted!

Growing before my eyes

While we were away and Tilly is at Dads we have had a couple of possums move in to the backyard, they are cute and all but they are shitting everywhere and make loud shrieking noises at night, i expect when we bring Tilly back on the weekend they will move on, or they will stay and taunt her all night long so she will bark all night long, wouldn’t that be oh so fun!

Last night was again a really bad night with the kids sleep. H took an hour and a half to get to sleep, everytime i would leave the room he would scream and cry, we have no idea what is wrong with him then at midnight he ended up in our room again so i ended up sleeping in his room cos i was to tired to bother but today he has gone down easily so i’m crossing everything that he goes down again tonight with no hassles it makes life a lot more enjoyable.

I was rereading all my Harry blog entries cos i have forgotten pretty much everything it was so nice to look back and see it all. I didn’t realise we started him at about 4.5months on solids…it won’t be long till M is that age and we have start thinking about all those things all over…

He is so annoying at times but my god he is cute, my mil gave him a big tin of A’s old matchbox cars and there is an aeroplane in one of them and he loves it, he flies it around the house and makes the appropriate engine noises but the wings often fall off so he always wants me to put them back on, i was feeding Mims at one of the times and i told him he had to wait till she was finished her feed so he put his hand on her bottle and “helped” feed her for 10 seconds and then pulls it out and said Mimi finished and handed me the plane lol little shit!

I was counting with him today and stopped at 7 and he kept going and said eight nine ten. I hadn’t heard him do that in order he usually just says them randomly.

To Much Dora and Diego?

I think H might watch to much Diego/Dora…he was just telling A when A asked if H would like some dessert…”dessert, dessert, rapido, rapido.” Lol does it get any cuter than that!
